Institute of Fundraising wins bid to become BIG Assist supplier
The Institute of Fundraising (IoF) has been approved as a supplier for the BIG Assist programme
The contract means that charities qualifying for support under the scheme can invest in developing their fundraising capacity through the Institute.
The £6m programme, launched late last year, is administered by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) for the Big Lottery Fund. It supports infrastructure organisations to adapt to changing environments and to be more sustainable. Around 1,400 groups will be able to apply for funding, and typical awards are expected to be in the region of £2,000 to £7,000 for capacity building projects.
“Our Small Charities Programme has shown that, with our support, charities can successfully diversify their income streams. We are therefore delighted that we will now be able to offer our highly regarded fundraising training and consultancy to a broader range of organisations through this programme,” IoF Chief Executive Peter Lewis said.
